Wheeee! I’m back. battling jetlag but pretending I’m cool with 4 hours sleep at night and a strange zombie like state during the day… because it was all worth it! Amazing trip….family portraits in Germany and Italy, a wedding in a castle in gorgeous Austria… a photographers dream! But mostly the trip was an excuse to catch up with some old friends in Europe and to get back into the swing of speaking foreign languages that never get a chance to be spoken at home.
Internet connections were a little too hard to access whilst I was travelling, and I kind of decided that I wanted to be totally imersed in the experience of being in some of my favorite places. So, the retrospective blogging starts here. As you can image I have a gazillion photos to edit and sort through, but little by little I will share some of the European sweetness here on the blog.
So first up, there was Kiel, northern Germany. It is a lovely harbour city with many things to photograph…. none of which I did. Instead I drove to a place where the farm houses look like this,
…and did a portrait shoot.
This is Thies and Andrea –
they are lovely lovely people, and they live in Kiel and have two gorgeous daughters.
This is Marlene. (She’s very cute…)
and this is her very cool older sister Greta – (also very cute)
Greta, Andrea, Marlene, and Thies… the whole family… randomly 🙂
what a beautiful family… (thank you)
Next stop Noerdlingen, Bavaria… where you see streets like this
and heaps of houses that look like this…
and if your very good friend doesn’t mind driving you out to the middle of nowhere (Harburg) in the middle of the night, you see stuff like this
(Danke Bernd 🙂 )
